The Tumalo Basin Sewer District (TBSD) has been legally formed with strong community support and predominantly positive feedback. Initial coordination with funding agencies such as the Infrastructure Finance Authority (IFA), Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), and USDA Rural Development (USDA-RD) is underway to secure funding for future phases of work.
This allows the District to begin exploring options for effluent collection, treatment and disposal, with the goal of preparing a Preliminary Engineering Report in 2026. This report will be crucial for securing project funding and ensuring the sustainability of our community’s future sewer system.
